Aquanow is building out its staking portfolio of Aquanodes

Aquanow is operating validator nodes in support of emerging decentralized finance projects. This portfolio of Aquanodes verify transactions in decentralized peer-to-peer blockchain networks such as Avalanche, Ethereum (ETH 2.0) and Solana.

Decisions in many blockchain networks are made by a consensus mechanism called proof of stake. To qualify as a decision-maker, a validator node must have token holdings committed, or staked, to it for a period of time. In return for verifying transactions for the network, a validating node is issued new tokens, representing income earned by the staked tokens. The amount of income earned by validator nodes is dependent on both the success of a blockchain network and individual node reliability.

For network success, Aquanow considers the project concept, likelihood of adoption of the network, and projected staking rewards when selecting blockchain projects to support.

Node reliability is measured by uptime, and high performance requires Aquanow to have:

  • robust hardware
  • 24/7 connectivity
  • comprehensive security features
  • technical maintenance capabilities

High performance also attracts other token holders to delegate their assets to earn staking rewards. Token holders can currently participate in reliable Aquanodes operating on Avalanche and Solana projects.

Avalanche (AVAX)

Avalanche was set up in September 2020 as a highly-scalable, open-source platform for launching decentralized finance (DeFi) applications. The Avalanche consensus protocol is designed to achieve strong safety guarantees, quick finality, and high-throughput, without compromising decentralization.

Ethereum 2.0 (ETH)

Eth2 refers to a set of interconnected upgrades that will make Ethereum more scalable, more secure, and more sustainable. These upgrades are being built by multiple teams from across the Ethereum ecosystem.

Solana (SOL)

Solana is a fast, secure, and censorship resistant blockchain using proof-of-history and proof-of-stake technology to scale together with hardware and bandwidth improvements, with capacity expected to double every 2 years.
